Supporting local

We love to support local because we know that the money goes direct to supporting folk during these trickier times. We thought it would be useful to share some of our favourite shops 🙂

Local businesses we LOVE!

Pit-tastic: Looking for sweet-smelling pits without any nasties? Plastic-free? Even Vegan options? This is your place to go. Alice, the founder has worked endlessly to create this incredible range of products and flippin’ heck are they good? Here items are sold across the UK and can also be purchased direct from her here.

Soapdaze: The soaps are the bomb!! Along with a huge range of other plastic-free beauty products. The shop based on Fore Street in Exeter (in the Indie quarters) is absolutely beautiful, worth a look in! Or if you’re too far away then do have a look on their website.

Elizabeth Score: Lizz spends hours beach-combing to find pieces of sea glass to turn into beautiful handmade jewellery in her studio in Exeter, Devon. Her pieces are breathtaking and she also does commissions. These make the most fantastic gifts or even a keepsake of a special place or time. Her website can be found here.

Heart and Soul: This online zero-waste store in Exmouth has the MOST amazing range of stuff, all delivered to your door! What could possibly be more convenient especially during these strange times? Check out their brilliant website here.

Tapper: Sophia makes the most beautiful handmade soaps in small, exclusive batches. With a background in chemistry she has used her skills to make mostly vegan, all palm free soaps with a modern twist, often coupling her love of the sea to use ingredients sensitively foraged from the local Devon coastline. Her Facebook page can be found here.

Mamie Soupe:

Mamie Soupe: Originally from France, the lovely Marion has used her love of language to create the most beautiful range of educational colouring cards to introduce small humans to her Mother tongue, French. Marion based her products around the alphabet where she is combining fun and learning. These fantastic cards are both sided and with cartoon images to colour in. The front of the cards have “capital letters” and French words/pronunciation, the back of the cards have “lower cases letters” and English words/pronunciation. Each set of cards (animals or jobs) come with rings that open and close, and it makes it the perfect activity on a car journey, in a restaurant or simply out at home. Learning has never been so simple and fun!

Mamie Soupe’s page can be found here.
